Although considering becoming a professional photographer while in college, Mark ultimately decided to pursue a career in medicine. Retiring after a highly successful career as a Family Practitioner, he left his private medical practice in 2004 to pursue his passion for photography.

Mark enjoys exploring the creative use of light in photography and developing his ability to look at and perceive everyday surroundings in a new dimension.
An avid traveler, Mark has cultivated a large collection of travel and wildlife photography.

"I particularly like photographing people in their natural environment and then applying new artistic techniques to view the subjects in different ways. I'm looking for real, salt of the earth type people! I like artists, dancers, people with colorful personalities, people that stand out in a crowd, and people that are just plain comfortable in front of a camera. I want to tell a story with your photo that can be told to the world! If that's you, let's start taking pictures!"

In addition to his medical studies, Dr. Vacker recently completed obtaining a degree from New York Institute of Photography. He is a member of the American Association of Media Photographers and the Professional Photographers of America.

Mark is also SUPERMODEL TULLY JENSEN'S personal photographer. His studio has many props and outfits which are available for client's use.

Dr. Vacker currently lives in Weston, Florida with his lovely wife Susan and their three daughters: Jessica, Brooke, and Paige. Mark also resides part-time in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
